At UUFBR we work to create a welcoming, caring, justice seeking community within and beyond our walls. UUFBR is a loving, open-minded, inclusive religious community united by core values. We come from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions, and we welcome people of all religious traditions and beliefs, as well as atheists, agnostics, and “nones”. We welcome you: your whole self, with all your truths and your doubts, your worries and your hopes. Come join us on this extraordinary adventure of discovery!

  • Welcome!  Our covenant with one another is shared with all living beings and religious traditions without exclusion.

  • Your Questions Answered An FAQ for UUFBR.

  • Who We Are Your quest for truth and meaning is our journey too. We celebrate with you the path that brought you here.

  • Becoming Involved  UUFBR is proud to host a great variety of activities for its members and friends.

  • Membership Covenant, not creed. Ours is a liberal and heretical heritage of openness and harmony in religious freedom.

At UUFBR we have a covenant (promise) to each other, which is part of our Sunday Service. It is:

Love is the doctrine of this faith,
the quest for truth its sacrament,
and service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace,
to seek the truth in love,
to the end that all shall grow into harmony,
thus do we covenant with one another.

UUFBR is one of over 1000 congregations in the Unitarian Universalist Association.

The UUFBR Stone Chalice in the Cleary Sanctuary, 4 foot tall and made of Florida limestone

Our Chalice

Each Sunday we light our chalice, the symbol of our faith. Our chalice is 4 foot tall and made of Florida limestone. The stem or foot of the chalice is the upright triangular piece on the bottom. The “cup” is the inverted triangular piece seated on the bottom piece and holds the candle or flame. Symbolically, the flame is the light of truth. The cup represents the congregation, and the stem or foot represents the traditions from which our faith emerges.
