The meeting came to order at 7:20pm. Present were: Robert Duchemin, Seyril Siegel, Jan Booher and Linda Harmon.
The remaining project that we must complete in order to submit our application for Green Sanctuary Status is the Osias Carpet campaign.
Coffee and Chocolate Sales Report (Robert Duchemin and Linda Harmon)
We have made approximately $500 on coffee and chocolate sales. There was a summer break, but sales will resume in November for holiday sales. Some unsold coffee inventory will be donated to UUFBR’s coffee hour.
Rising Together Environmental Justice Project (Jan Booher)
The field work is finished for this Environmentl Justice Project and the www.ReACTToolkit.net site is active. More content will continue to be added to the site. The Southeast Florida Climate Change Compact’s Leadership Summit scheduled for October 5th and 6th was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. A Poster about the Rising Together EJ project was accepted for the juried Poster Session.
Osias Carpet Campaign:
The Endowment Committee decided not to provide matching funds to replace the carpet in Osias Hall.
The Carpet Campaign will begin November 1, 2016.
The cost for a 2ft x 2ft tile will be $40, or in quantity, at reduced prices. Linda Harmon will create a pricing schedule. The pricing will cover labor, maintenance, 3 years of warranty compliant maintenance, and the campaign expenses (including a plaque to recognize donors).
Robert Duchemin and Seyril Siegel will speak to Donna Musial to see if she can help with a rendering of Osias with differing carpet samples and a rendering of the room with squares that can be colored in, or donor’s names can be inserted, as the campaign progresses.
The meeting was adjourned at 9pm.
