We are thrilled to announce that Reverend Edith A. Love has joined UUFBR as our new Contract Minister! Rev. Edith, who lives in Memphis, TN with her daughter, will be combining onsite and remote ministry on a ¾-time basis for UUFBR. She is also the quarter-time Pastor for the UU Congregation in Tupelo, Mississippi. Please give her a warm UUFBR welcome – and if you’re interested in helping plan our formal installation and welcome brunch later in February, please let the co-presidents Rajeev and Claire know ASAP. How fortunate are we: with a newly articulated focus on Love as the center of our UU faith, we get to welcome Rev. Edith Love to our Fellowship!

The Forum
Healing Justice
Healing Justice Blog[/button] Healing Justice is a small group that works together to counter racism wherever it occurs. We recognize that racism is complex and exists at all levels, from individual to societal. Action taken recently includes education for our own congregation about why we are considering incorporating a proposed 8th Principle. More direct recent action includes supporting UU the Vote as a precursor to upending structural racism in our nation. Healing Justice meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month, except for November 2024, when it will meet on November 19th.
